Since 2005, the Wireless Festival has attracted tens of thousands of music enthusiasts to London’s parks. In June 2017, the German version of the event took place for the first time – and we were there as experienced specialists for LED technology. For two days, 40,000 fans celebrated a big party to national and international urban and pop music. Two years later, we are at the start again.

In an intensive and complex project planning phase beforehand, detailed agreements were made with the management on LED use and content implementation, in addition to safety-relevant aspects.

A 126 m² LED backdrop with 4.6 mm pixel pitch from Infiled was used on the main stage. In addition, 70 m² of LED deco provided illuminating moments and effective staging for the performances of artists such as Colombian reggeaton star J Balvin, US rapper Cardi B and Latin trap musician Khea. At the Second Stage, we used a backdrop with 66 m² of LED material. An LED screen with an area of 59 m² and a pixel pitch of 10 mm, using P10 solid material, provided another visual highlight for the visitors at the Snipes Urban Vibes Stage.

The six-member team of experienced technicians and a project manager ensured that everything ran smoothly on site during the extremely short changeover phases between the acts. This was based on close cooperation with the artistic team as well as the sound, lighting and video departments.
