Out-of-home campaign for the chocolate brand Merci

"Dankstelle" at the Centro Oberhausen and the Sony Center Berlin

Technology used

  • Vidibox
  • 16 m² LED screen on the Vidibox

Since 1977, the World Day of Gratitude has been celebrated on 21 September. To mark the occasion, the Merci brand organised a very special personalisation campaign in Berlin and Oberhausen: during the campaign, passers-by were able to deliver their personal message of thanks not only with chocolate, but also via a 16m² LED screen. This was made possible by the Vidibox from Screen Visions, which was used as a “thank-you station” for two days.

For the out-of-home campaign of the chocolate brand Merci on 20 and 21 September, the Vidibox, Screen Visions’ patented presentation module, became a place for very special messages of thanks: The “thank-you station” was in use simultaneously at the Centro in Oberhausen and the Sony Center in Berlin for the two-day campaign. Passers-by had the opportunity to personalise a Merci pack in the Vidibox and record the thank-you message with a souvenir photo. For this, Screen Visions divided the branded Vidibox into two areas: In the first step, visitors could personalise and print an overlay for the Merci pack with a name. The second part of the Vidibox was designed as a photo box. The photos were provided with a personal thank-you message and name and could then be admired on the 16 m² LED screen on the upper part of the Vidibox. In addition to the photos, an explanatory video was also shown on the LED wall, demonstrating the process of the “thank you” campaign. Screen Visions enabled a strong brand presence for Merci with the Vidibox as a multifunctional promotion module and attracted passers-by with an eye-catching visual. In Oberhausen as well as in Berlin, the Vidibox by Screen Visions attracted all eyes as a “thank-you station” and left behind a multitude of personal thank-you messages and special “Merci” moments.
