The Swabians do not leave their team alone! They proved that once again in the last match of the season. For VfB Stuttgart, nothing less than promotion back to the 1st Bundesliga was at stake – and 100,000 fans provided the necessary support. In addition to the 60,000 people in the stadium, 40,000 cheered the team next door on the Cannstatter Wasen. A final score of 4:1 – after all, that’s all it took to make 21 May 2017 an unforgettable day for VfB fans.

We were commissioned by our customer R&P to equip the gigantic public viewing event on the Wasen. Since our LED material was used at all twelve fan festivals during the 2006 World Cup, we have regularly been in charge of emotionally charged projects of this kind and can draw on many years of expertise. A total of five of our mobile LED screens with a size of 2 x 31 m² and 3 x 50 m² as well as the live broadcast from the stadium enabled the visitors to cheer along from almost every corner of the Wasen grounds. Among the 50m² screens, the newest containers of our rental park were also in use: The INFiLED ER5pro modules feature a pixel pitch of 5.9 mm and are the world’s highest resolution of this type and size. This guarantees that no goal will be overlooked during outdoor viewing.
