Digital shop window advertising is gaining ground more and more. As pioneers and experts in the LED industry, we advise renowned clients on modern, LED-based store and shop window design. Since autumn 2017, we have been implementing a visual highlight for Stage Entertainment on behalf of “Büro für Werber” to promote the musical “Bodyguard” – directly in Stuttgart’s pedestrian zone. An LED display with 2.8 millimetre pixel pitch in a shop window served as an eye-catcher and was in use for several weeks. The material we selected has an excellent resolution for small areas and is in a good price segment. The availability of a stable system that runs reliably without supervision and can be switched on and off automatically at regular intervals was a prerequisite. But choosing the right screen is not the end of the planning process. Since shop windows consist of large glass surfaces, heat development must be taken into account. An air-conditioning system installed in the shop window especially for the screen prevented damage to the technology. To protect the sensitive floor, rubber mats were laid out and a multiplex board construction was made. This was able to distribute the weight of the LED wall evenly on the floor and made the entire construction mobile.
