time warp

Since 1994, the Time Warp Festival has been a must-attend event for electronic music fans. A stunning light show transformed Time Warp into an impressive storm of sound in April.

For the anniversary, we brought out the big guns: With an impressive 500m² of modular LED material, we transformed the event at Manneim´s Maimarkthalle into a dazzling spectacle.

Stage meets future

We installed LED walls with a total area of 150m² on the three main stages, but look things up a notch with an elaborate roof structure made of LED creative material: The LED panels, mounted offset on the hall ceiling and aligned with the stages, enabled particularly spectacular effects. For example, we created a tunnel of light – for the visual implementation of a “time warp”.

20th anniversary

Mounting the LED modules on the ceiling was the biggest challenge. However, we had the right material for the job and, in our client cosmopop, an experienced partner. For the installation at such a lofty height, we provided particularly lightweight LED creative material, which made the work much easier for the installation crew. Nevertheless, a team of ten technicians and additional helpers had their hands full for two long days. The enormous effort is evident just by looking at the impressive amount of material used: two fully filled trailers with over 1,000 LED modules. 370 of these found their place on the stages, and over 630 were used for the panels on the hall ceiling. The fine-tuning during the installation of the panels was equally demanding. Implementing the tunnel structure precisely according to the client´s design specification required a high degree of detailed coordination.
