Protecting your privacy is important to us. We handle your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations (GDPR, BDSG, TTDSG).

Collection and Storage of Personal Data

When visiting our website, our servers automatically store the following information:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Pages visited on our website
  • Date and time of access
  • IP address (for security reasons, stored for a maximum of 7 days)

We also process personal data that you actively provide to us, e.g. via contact forms, newsletter registration, or application documents.

Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction, and unauthorized access. Contracts for data processing under Art. 28 GDPR are in place with service providers who process data on our behalf.

Legal bases: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent, e.g. newsletter, cookies), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (contract/pre-contractual measures, e.g. application), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest, e.g. security and optimization of the website).

Cookies & Consent Management (Borlabs Cookie)

Our website uses the consent management tool Borlabs Cookie.

  • Borlabs sets a technically necessary cookie (“borlabs-cookie”) in which your consent or revocation is stored.
  • Stored content includes: cookie ID, consent status, timestamp of consent.
  • No data is transmitted to the provider of Borlabs.
  • Storage duration: 182 days.
  • Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR in conjunction with Sec. 25 TTDSG (legal obligation to obtain and document consent).

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address exclusively for the purpose of sending the newsletter.

  • The newsletter is sent via CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede, Germany.
  • CleverReach processes your data solely on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded.
  • The data is stored exclusively on servers located in Germany or within the EU.
  • Registration takes place using the double opt-in procedure (confirmation by email). The data collected in this process serves to document compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR).
  • Legal basis for the newsletter: Your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You may revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.
  • Unconfirmed registrations are automatically deleted after 1 week. Unsubscribed recipients are also automatically deleted after 1 week.
  • Backups are created automatically and deleted after 30 days. These backup files are not used productively and serve only for system recovery.
  • We statistically evaluate whether newsletters are opened and which links are clicked. This information may be linked to individual recipients and is used exclusively to improve the technical performance and content of our newsletters.
  • Each newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. You may revoke your consent at any time.

Your data will be permanently deleted after unsubscribing from the newsletter, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Applications

Personal data transmitted via our application form or by email is processed exclusively for the purpose of handling the application process.

  • Legal basis: Sec. 26 BDSG (initiation of an employment relationship).
  • Storage: up to 6 months after completion of the application process.
  • Longer storage (e.g. talent pool) only with your explicit consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Note: When transmitted by email, complete protection against unauthorized access cannot be guaranteed despite technical and organizational measures.

Web Analytics with Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics (with IP anonymization).

  • Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
  • Google Analytics sets cookies only after your consent.
  • IP addresses are processed in anonymized form.
  • Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent).

Data Transfer to the USA

Data may be transferred to Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. In addition, the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses are used as safeguards.

Opt-Out

You can prevent the collection of data by Google Analytics by refusing or withdrawing consent in the Consent Manager or by installing the browser plugin:

Storage Period

We store personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose or as long as statutory retention obligations exist.

Your Rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), objection (Art. 21 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and to withdraw consent given.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
